Adoption #1 Timeline

08/28/08 - contacted "All God's Children International" in Portland, Oregon about our decision to adopt from Ethiopia.
09/03/08 - Contacted Angel's Cove of BCHFS in Mt. Vernon, IL to do our home study.
09/15/08 - Our contracts were received for All God's Children International.
09/19/08 - We were welcomed to the Ethiopia Program.
11/17/08 - Our home study was approved by DCFS and our agency. YEAH!!!!
12/09/08 - Officially on the waitlist for our new baby. Our numbers are 14 for a boy and 29 for a girl.
01/09/09 - Official numbers are 14 for a boy and 27 for a girl.
01/14/09 - CIS fingerprinting in Indianapolis, IN.
02/05/09 - official numbers are 6 for a boy and 19 for a girl.
02/13/09 - Unofficially #1 on the boy list and #17 for a girl.
02/13/09 - Approval for CIS fingerprints.
03/02/09 - Referral Day for Silas E. Bogard (little over 3 months old).
03/05/09 - Call with the International Pediatrician. Silas is a very healthy little boy!
03/06/09 -accepted our referral.
03/18/09 - Travel call
04/02/09 We got our Court Date for April 30th!!!
04/30/09 Our Court Date!
05/01/09 We found out we passed court and Silas E. is our son legally! Praising God!!!
05/18/09 - We meet Silas for the first time. It was just amazing. He stole our hearts!!!
05/22/09 We got home from Ethiopia and Silas meet his sisters Gracie and Emma for the first time.
